We booked the stay 1 hour before arrival after 4 days on a road trip. Our previous nights had been in rather sterile ‘big chain’ hotels. We had a warm welcome at the Historic Grand Canyon Hotel and instantly knew this was going to be a standout experience. The room was immaculate, with all new furnishings including a very comfy bed, nice hot shower and spotless bathroom. We received an excellent recommendation for dinner and it was 2 doors down from the hotel. Lovely gift shops, bars and restaurants are only steps from the front door. The owners are lovingly restoring this old gal and have done a stellar job so far - good luck with the project!

A clean and decent room. The shower was good, the room could have been a bit bigger. But nothing to complain about. There were a lot of breakfast options available. Fresh pancakes, good coffee, all American breakfast.

The PIE's at the Pine Country Restaurant, the Visitors Center, the vast choices of restaurants, the historical train with great conductors, assistants on each train, the entertainment towards the end of each segment of the train stop, the history of the town, the local cemetery by the Day's Inn is quite large and updated. Went out to White Horse Lake, but don't bother--the dirt road was 10 miles each way of the 18 mile each way drive. Gave the Car Wash (Drive Through) some business afterwards. It's not so much the drive but there wasn't much of a lake. So find another jaunt. They say Bearizona is a grand place to spend the day at 27$ per person. It's a grown up biggie boy town now and I am glad they had so much business going on as the winters are probably not as profitable for this once sleepy-town. They have to make it 8 months out of the year, but business still goes on--just less people come as it can get down to -40 degrees so do check your temps as you make your winter trip--if at all. Make it during the Spring or Fall if you can or all Summer Long. Thank you, Williams and all the courteous people every where you went! We ate at the new brewery--pizza of course and they have great Mexican Food restaurants and Anna's. Didn't stay long enough to eat anywhere else. But the food was always great. Getting around is a breeze from the Ponderosa Pines! It's only a mile long and one way each direction with appropriate stop signs, or lights. Just drive slowly and be courteous!

Great little town.
Great little town. The shops and restaurants were quite an experience. I really enjoyed walking around the town and in and out of the shops. The train ride to the Grand Canyon was wonderful. There was plenty to do whether you were walking, driving, or on a bike.

The Grand Canyon Train was a great excursion and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the Grand Canyon area from the south rim, but I would DEFINITELY DISUADE everyone from lodging at that property.
I personally would NEVER, EVER stay at that hotel again so long as I am breathing.
I hope you can garner my(our) extreme dissatisfaction with this property in particular.

This quiet and quirky town is loacted an hour from the South Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon.
We stayed at the Highlander Motel which is only a short distance walk to some great local resturants and bars, gas stations and grocery stores.
We ate at the Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe, I highly rate the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwhich and the atomosphere was that of a true diner.
The locals are great and I hope any one who vists, enjoys Williams as much as I did!

Friendly staff and cute property with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Super accommodating and easy to find with attractions and places to eat within a 3 to 15 minutes drive depending on which business you chose to visit. It is also about an hours (1hr) drive away from the Grand Canyon. Was a relaxing and fun experience.
Compared two other hotels in this category this place is head and shoulders above its competition. It isn’t a new hotel, however it is obvious that management cares and is trying. It’s very clean…even the nooks and crannies! There was fresh paint, new linens, And the staff are friendly and welcoming. There are 2 Motel six locations in Williams I’m not sure about the other one? Again, compared to any other hotel in this category this one is superior. Thank you to the staff and management :-)
This property is meticulously cared for. You can just tell, even though it’s not a brand new hotel, it is well maintained and cleaned. The operators were so considerate. Nice decor, super clean rooms and excellent outdoor space for our kids to roam for a bit. Awesome tables and chairs outside of each room. We enjoyed cards outside after putting our kiddos to bed. Just perfect charm for a night in Williams on our way to GCNP.
We found this hotel as a means to stay near the Grand Canyon so we could drive up into the park for a day. We didn't realize that Williams itself is the cutest little town! Located on Historic Route 66, there are so many restaurants, bars, and shops, and even a fabulous little winery all in walking distance of this hotel. Williams was an unexpected hidden gem.
The town (Williams, AZ) was very tourist-friendly. The hotel was located right in the center of town. The room was good, but the floorplan was not quite what I expected from the pictures I viewed on-line. Especially in light of traveling with another couple. But everything worked out and we were all happy and had a good experience,
Great, clean, relatively new looking hotel in the town of Williams, near Grand Canyon South rim. Arrived on Christmas day. Welcomed by nice staff. We needed a nice night of sleep and rest before our departure to Grand Canyon. It did the job. Nice generous breakfast included. Thank you La Quinta and town of Williams.
The hotel provides all the basic amenities you expect for the price - nice clean room, comfy beds, coffee maker, microwave, fridge. Location is very close to everything in Williams - train station, restaurants, downtown area. Hotel provides free parking in the adjacent area. Very good value for money.
The location of the hotel was good, about one hour from the Grand Canyon and very close to restaurants and shops in Williams. Breakfast was simple, but handy when leaving early in the morning. Beds were very comfortable.
Location was good, just minutes away from downtown Williams. The hotel was very clean, it had a fridge & microwave. Breakfast was provided. There’s a little pantry you can purchase snack, drinks, etc which was nice.
Amazing place, clean, quiet and comfortable. Next to Safeway big market, everything you need like restaurants and shops. 1h from Grand Canyon. The place to stay and to enjoy Williams.
Pleasant town of Williams, a very good starting point for visiting the Grand Canyon. Hotel in a good location next to the highway. A normal American breakfast. Friendly staff.
Great experience sleeping in an RV for the first time
Good location right off Hwy and very near Williams.
Friendly staff at check in.
Would stay again when in Williams.
Great location especially if your catching the Grand Canyon train as this is within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms are a nice size and quite clean.
