I stayed here for a few nights while exploring Yosemite. It was a great base. On arrival the staff member was very helpful in getting me settled and recommended where I could get food at 10pm. The room was clean and modern.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The location was perfect for our Yosemite adventures, making it incredibly convenient to explore the park. Christine and Gabriel were outstanding hosts, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our visit. Their hospitality truly enhanced our experience. The "breakfast on the go" was superb, giving us the energy we needed for our daily hikes. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring we were well-rested each night. The quiet area and beautiful surroundings added to the charm of our stay. This place is a must-experience if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

Mariposa is a nice country town with good range of shops, services and food options for its size (including a supermarket), even in our early spring visiting time. This is due to its proximity to Yosemite NP about 70km away (our reason for visiting). If using the YARTs bus service to access the park its a great base.

Mariposa is about as close you can get to Yosemite without staying in the park, but it's still an hour drive from the valley. This is fine if you're visiting the park for 1 or 2 days, but after 2 days, you'll definitely have had enough of the driving. The town itself is very cute and has tons of nice places to eat. There is also a very large supermarket.

The Day and Night Staff were very kind and helpful, everything was clean and functional, and you CANNOT beat the natural beauty a short distance away. Yosemite is a national treasure for good reason. :)

Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see.
Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see. We stayed there to visit Yosemite. But Mariposa has no mobile coverage, Had we known that beforehand, we'd have stayed in Yosemite village, inside the park, which has good mobile coverage.

Great little town, very hot in the summer.
Great little town, very hot in the summer. Near the Yosemite Park entrance that is closest to Yosemite Valley. It is historic with several nice shops and restaurants. Check out The Grove House for a great selection of Micro Brews and great food. Excellent mixed drinks and live music as well! Stay here if you don't want to spend over $400.00 a night!
The lodge offers alot of extra amenities like a table and chairs, ear plugs for light sleepers (the heater/AC works really well but it is quite loud!), and extra towels and pillows. The bathroom has been recently re-done and looks great. The parking is easy and right outside your door. There are several food and shopping options within easy walking distance. Overall a very pleasant stay, especially if you are planning on visiting the nearby Yosemite National Park.
We stayed here for a night while visiting Yosemite NP. Overall, it was a decent stay for one night - there are several restaurants, grocery shops, and cafes nearby; the room was clean but had some chemical smells (probably due to cleaning products); there were plenty of parking spaces; it was quiet (you can hear some sounds from the parking lot, but we didn't hear any noise from other rooms); it is a dog-friendly lodge where you pay $50/night for a pet fee.
The rooms are cute. This is a very old motel that has been nicely remodeled. It is located within walking distance of all downtown Mariposa. The proximity to Yosemite National Park makes the entire area expensive so this was one of the more reasonable options. It is very small so it is very easy access with luggage etc... The air conditioning made the room comfortable.
The hotel is located in a really nice village, the last we found on our way to yosemite valley, 1 hour drive. Other closer accomodation are kind of isolated.
The receptionist was so kind searching for some tourist info about the National Park. At the time of booking I didn't expect to have a breakfast included, while it was.
We had an AMAZING stay. The house was even better than we thought when we booked it. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was hot! It's really close to Yosemite National Park and has lots of dinner options in the area. There was also a grocery store nearby with all the stuff you need to make some nice meals.
This place is really good value for money, close to Yosemite NP. They served complementary breakfast which was simple American style breakfast (waffles, cream cheese, butter, jam, bread, coffee and tea).
There is convenience store in the city nearby and gas station just across the street.
Nice, clean and well equipped. bed was big and beds comfortable.
location was convenient for visiting Yosemite. free parking. had many options to have dinner around the hotel.
good breakfast.
he had dinner at Don Ruben’a Mexican restaurant and it was amazing
This place is a real gem, close to town center, there is a nearby market and a gas station.
If you are traveling to Yosemite N.P. or Kings Canyon N.p. and looking for clean and comfy rooms with helpful front desk. This is the place.
This place is gorgeous. It’s not the nearest stay to Yosemite but its quality more than made up for it - a few days in the house would make good enough a vacation with your family/partner, with or without the national park.
I loved that it is close to Yosemite’s East gate. I also loved the food served. I ate at the pizza place near by and it was awesome as well as the dinner. I enjoyed every breakfast served at the hotel, they were delicious!
The room was clean and comfortable. There were a few restaurants nearby, within walking distance. It was an easy approximately 1 hour and 15 minute drive to Yosemite. Check in and check out was very easy.
Amazing breakfast. Location is great. Although the hotel seems a little far from The Valley, it’s actually a pleasant short drive, and really close to the Mariposa town, a very beautiful little place.
